Mobile Marketing Ideas for Small Business Owners
With the official launch of iZigg Mobile Marketing just days away, businesses are beginning to think of ways they may be able to capitalize on the mobile marketing revolution. 
Text marketing is similar to email, but it’s delivered to your phone. It’s more convenient and often more immediate.
Here are just a couple ideas on how small businesses could possibly use the iZigg mobile marketing platform:
A tea shop can place a sign in the window, a sticker on the menu, a starburst on their website, and a message on the Daily Special board saying “Text Tea Shop @90210″ for a 20% off coupon. Customers see the message and text in. Immediately on their phone, they are presented with a Mobile Coupon, which they can show the clerk at the counter who gives them their 20% off. Then, the tea shop can periodically send messages to their customers, announcing special events like tea tastings, the introduction of new tea flavors, or special packages created for holiday or other occasions.
A fitness center can encourage members to text “Jim’s Fitness @ 90210″ to get a daily schedule of classes, a fitness tip of the day, or even a Members Only special offer. The fitness club could track attendance and send a text message to members who haven’t made it to the gym in a while, encouraging them to return by offering a free or discounted one-on-one session with a personal trainer.
A church could encourage congregants to text “Christ’s Church at 90210″ to volunteer for a special event. The week before the event, the church could send volunteers reminders and instructions for the big event. On the morning of the event, all the volunteers could receive a reminder text. Then, when the next need for volunteers arises, the church can easily send a text message out asking for help.
A pre-school could encourage parents to text “Daycare at 90210″ for emergency notifications. Whenever the school has to close for weather, or illness, or has other events that parents need to be notified of, like a class party, a text message can be sent out with the information.
The ideas are endless. How could your business use mobile marketing? Why would you want to be connected to your customer’s cellphones? If you really give it some thought, I’d be willing to bet you could come up with a dozen or more ideas.
