I’m a new MLM recruit. I just signed up. What do I do now?
Congratulations! You have decided to join the iZigg mobile marketing revolution, or some other multi-level marketing opportunity. You are all excited and ready to go. But there’s so much to learn. MLM is not a business model that is taught in school so you may not have been exposed to a lot of the techniques of how this business works. Where do you start? Here are some things I teach my new recruits to start with to get the ball rolling.
1) Learn your company’s products. Try them for yourself, explain them to your family and friends. No, don’t try to sell them, you are just using them for practice (if they buy, that’s terrific, but that’s NOT the goal on day one).
Focus on the benefits of the products. Get to the point where the benefits of the product are so clear to you that you can’t imagine anyone NOT wanting this product. Know this: success in any legitimate MLM company, including iZigg Mobile Marketing, requires you to sell product, not just recruit other team members. iZigg mobile marketing will not become a household brand name if no one is using the product. There has to be more users than sellers in order for the company to survive and for you to make the kind of money you want.
2) Go through any training materials your company provides. If there are training conference calls, webinars, meetings, you have to make it a point to attend as many as possible. Eventually, you may be able to miss some, but at first, you have to commit to joining the team.
3) Contact your upline sponsor and ask them to help you set up a specific marketing plan. This shouldn’t be just “email your friends,” it should help you identify the target audiences for your product and ideas on how to find them. Understand the marketing methods your sponsor uses. Now, MLM success is different for everybody, and everyone comes into an opportunity with different skill sets. Your sponsor may be very successful at cold calling or working large networking events, but those methods leave you nauseous and weak-knee-ed. That’s OK, you’ll find your own way. There are 10,000 other ways to market and recruit. But it’s important that you see what your sponsor does. Copy the things that work for you, develop other ideas for the things that don’t.
4) Commit to do something every day. Even if you can only squeeze in 10 minutes to place a classified ad on a business opportunity website, do it. Do Not Skip a Day. Do not go to bed without doing something to move your business forward. The end result will be the culmination of all of the small steps you took.
5) Continue learning. You never know enough about this business. And you especially can never know enough about people. This is a people-centered business. If you are interested in learning how to grow as a leader of people and how to leverage the multitude of online resources to explode your business, I highly recommend Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring.
You can sign up for a Free 7-day video course on how to position yourself as a leader in any MLM opportunity. Click here to sign up.
Another fabulous resource is RI Training, the providers of the Residual Income Game and Skills Radio. Check out your local Meet-Up.com to see if there is a trainer near you.
If there’s not and you’re interested in the program, email me at info@iziggtothetop.com and I’ll get you connected with a trainer.
6) Take some time and set some goals for yourself. Check out my How to Set Effective Goals article. It really helps you focus on what you want out of life and how you are going to get there.
I hope this helps get you started on a successful MLM career. I hope you consider joining iZigg Mobile Marketing, but I’m here to help any network marketer achieve success. For more information on the iZigg opportunity, please visit: http://iZigg.com/Trina.
Here’s to our success,
